Barber Half Dollars

Barber Half Dollars are one of the most collected of all the half dollars.  They were minted between 1892 and 1915.  The mints included San Francisco, Denver, Philadelphia, and New Orleans.

The image above is of a group of Barber Half Dollars that I recently purchased.  Although they are not in the best condition, I was able to fill some holes that I had in my set with these.

Rarest Barber Half Dollar

There are some extremely rare and valuable Barber Half Dollars out there.  With only about 100 or so known to exist, the 1892-O with a micro “O” is the most valuable with an auction record of almost $100,000 back in 2005.
