Where To Sell Coins in Wilmington

I am always asked about the best locations to meet someone to sell coins or buy coins so I thought I would take a moment and pass along my favorite places in Wilmington to buy and sell coins.  It is always important to remember to stay safe and avoid becoming the victim of a crime.

• Outside of police stations has always been one of my top places to buy coins.  Within the last couple of years, many Wilmington police stations and Sheriff offices have created “Internet Exchange Areas” (Here is a LINK).  The great things about these areas are that they are under video surveillance and they are all directly outside of the police station or Sheriff office.
• Banks are great places to meet.  Not always, but many times there are cameras in the parking lots.  If you chose to meet inside, there is typically a seating area that is under video surveillance.  The best thing about meeting at a bank is that, if a deal is made, the exact amount of cash can easily be withdrawn.
• Although it is not my favorite place, I have often met in Wilmington area hotels to buy coins.  Many hotels have a very comfortable lobby, have security cameras, and have quiet areas to discuss the coins for sale.
